John Wooden on true success

Posted on: January 9, 2010

A very inspirational speech.  Many points that are very powerful to me. I am glad to hear his speech and to give myself a space to think about it.

“Don’t whine. Don’t complain. Don’t make excuses. Just get out there, and whatever you’re doing, do it the best of your ability. And no one can do more than that…..”

“That’s what really matters: if you make effort to do the best you can regularly, the results will be about what they should be. Not necessary to what you would want them to be, but they will be about what they should, and only you will know whether you can do that…”

“The journey is better than the end.”

And the part of speech he mentioned is that he was asked who was the best player he had.. haha… I feel it’s very true. Maybe we all want everything that we can in the life. Sometimes, when we think or want too much, that not just holds us back more but also can lose the ability to enjoy life.

That is right! We should just appreciate our capabilities, do our best in the process, and try very hard enjoy it! Let’s work on it this year (at least myself.) I believe that nothing will be worse than last year. But IF… I mean only IF things are going to be worse than last year. We already survived from last year together. We will survive again this year, too!!! Moving forward………..

Cheers, everyone! =)
